Shut Up And Watch The Movie! Vampire Diaries (Pilot)

vampirediaries

This week we watch the show Vampire Diaries. A show where Vampires and other assorted models go to school in fictional Mystic Falls, Virginia where ugly people are apparently not allowed. In this world Vampires can go outside when they wear a special magic ring and every murder a vampire commits seems to be explained away as a vicious animal attack. For what the show is it’s not horrible, but that doesn’t mean it’s good.

This week the guys watch the outrageously bad 1970’s show Emergency!, which somehow stayed on the air for six seasons. The show is a precursor to shows like ER and Third Watch but not even close to as compelling as those modern shows. If you like over acting and simple story lines than this show is for you!

Shut Up And Watch The Movie: 1600 Penn

One of the worst shows, ever!
One of the worst shows, ever!

This time we do something a little different and take on the brand new NBC comedy 1600 Penn. The show doesn’t actually premier on television until January 10th, but luckily for us NBC gives us the pilot of this horrible show that is almost sure to get cancelled. Go to the link below to watch online. The writing is amazingly bad and there is not a laugh to be found in the humble opinion of these two podcasters.

Shut Up And Watch The Movie: My So-Called Life Pilot

My So-Called Life

In this edition of Shut Up and watch The Movie! the guys dip their toes into the television waters and watch the first episode of My So-called Life, which premiered on August 25th 1994. After watching the show a young Mike Cline Jr. would fall in love with Claire Danes and write her a fan letter which she would never return. This is a first in a series of television pilots that the guys will provide commentary.

Next TV show: Felicity (Pilot)

Next Movie: Roller Boogie (1979)
